El Diario Covers NYLPI’s Upcoming Citizenship WorkshopMarch 4, 2019
Some immigrants with Permanent Legal Residency may already apply for United States citizenship, but they do not do so due to lack of knowledge or lack of resources, but in both cases there are options.
For this, organizations such as Catholic Migration Services (CMS) and New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI), organize clinics that allow these Hispanics to complete their process before the Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
In addition to collaborators of the mentioned associations, the workshops will have participation of volunteer attorneys of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP; Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, and Goldman Sachs.
The next workshop is Saturday, March 9, from 9:00 a.m. at 5:00 pm. at Pierrepont House, Pierrepont Street 55, First Floor, Brooklyn. If you’re interested in the workshop, call 212-225-4400 for a preliminary interview to determine if the person can apply. It is important to have all your immigration documents at hand.
