NYLPI and Other Advocates Urge NY Congressional Delegation to Seek Emergency Funding for MTA

NYLPI joined local transit advocates in urging New York’s downstate congressional delegation to procure substantial federal emergency funding for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to remedy the havoc wreaked by the COVID-19 pandemic. At least 83 MTA employees have died, ridership has disappeared, and the MTA has experienced staggering financial losses.
