NYLPI Joins Advocates Calling on NYS to Support Multilingual/English Language Students

NYLPI joined NY-AFFIRM* in advocating for equitable support for student, who are Multilingual Learners/English Language Learners (MLLs/ELLs) after the COVID-19 outbreak and through prolonged school closures. We are requesting that New York State take action to support districts with prioritizing and strengthening school-family engagement through multi-pronged approaches and innovative solutions to connect with families of MLLs/ELLs.
